Anurag Nigam, Board Director Anurag Nigam manages Sand Hill Angels prescreen and deal management processes. He is an Electrical and Computer Engineering graduate from Carnegie Mellon University. His career started at Intel and then being part of the founding teams & leading ASIC efforts at Cerent Corp (bought by Cisco) and Siara Systems (bought by Redback Networks). He has been an active angel investor and entrepreneur for the last 4 years. Anurag is a founding investor of hi5.com, a profitable social networking site with over 20M users. He has investments in many companies & advises companies in areas including Video IP, EDA, Online Ad tracking, SMS services, System Virtualization & Open Source Routing. Anurag has spoken at events and actively helps encourage technologists to better understand business. He currently is the founder and CEO of IncSync Corp, a mobile services company. They have launched PartySync, a mobile chat application, and 411Sync, a unique mobile search platform. Anurag is actively involved with his alma mater, on CMU’s CIT Silicon Valley Advisory Council, Alumni Admissions Council, Andrew Carnegie Society and CIT Dean’s Leadership Council (finished term). He is also on the non-profit boards of Friends of the Urban Forest which has planted over 40,000 street trees in San Francisco and Compass Community Services which helps homeless families in San Francisco become independent including running the Tenderloin Childcare Center (TLC). |
