Mike was the CEO of Amnis Systems, a network streaming video company, and led its restructuring during 1998-2003. As part of this restructuring he completed the spin out of ONI systems (optical networking), completed a reverse merger into Amnis as a public company and raised several rounds ofl financing. Mike led the spin out and external funding of Lexar Media from Cirrus Logic and served as the interim CEO during 1996-1997. Mike was the V.P of Business Development and V.P./G.M during his career at Cirrus Logic, which completed its IPO in 1990, and led the company through its first strategic corporate acquisition. He also served as Chief Operating Officer at Scientific Micro Systems, successfully leading the company through an IPO and several acquisitions. Mike is a member of the Board of Directors of Amnis Systems. He served as a member of the Board of Directors of BusLogic from 1993-1995. He also invests privately in early and growth stage companies. Mike is currently Managing Member of Nucleus Partners Holdings LLC, providing strategic, operational and venture finance consulting services to growth stage companies. He has completed numerous company assignments (strategic planning, business development, financial planning, angel fund raising, VC fund raising) in areas including 3D modeling software, telecommunications/wireless network management software, real time asset tracking and transaction software, medical imaging devices, and digital media software. Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley, and a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University. |
