I am an entrepreneur with a background as a computer scientist, software engineer, and business manager. After leaving the Stanford Ph.D. program, I founded, grew, and sold CodeSourcery, a software development tools business. CodeSourcery was acquired by Mentor Graphics, where I managed a business unit of approximately 150 people. I was responsible for product management, marketing, and engineering for open-source technologies. I championed the acquisition of the automotive software business unit from MontaVista software and was an active participant in strategic planning for the Embedded Software Division.
I am fascinated by technology, business, technology in business, and the business of technology.—
