Philippe Stephan has more than 20 years of experience in the field of financial technology.
He began his career in California where he developed a novel programming language. He later moved to Paris where he specialized in implementing pricing models to trade financial derivatives, and co-founded a London-based bank as a joint venture between Lazard and Credit Agricole. Here, he managed in-house trading and the bank’s risk-management system. After returning to the US, he led product development for two B2C web startups before becoming the CTO of Moody’s Analytics.
As CTO for Risk Management Solutions, he headed the development of the leading natural disaster risk models to help the largest insurance companies in the world price and manage portfolios of catastrophe policies. Recently, Philippe has consulted for financial services firms catering to private equity and venture capital firms.
