Ben Lee is CEO of mCube, Inc. He has over 20 years of senior management experience in the semiconductor industry, with more than 10 years serving as an expat in Asia (Singapore, Hong Kong, and Shanghai). Ben is especially interested in innovative IoT solution companies that can benefit from mCube’s world’s smallest MEMS inertial motion sensors. Gary Kremen is an American engineer, entrepreneur and public servant who invented[citation needed] online dating, founded the personals site Match.com, was the first registrant of Sex.com and founder of Clean Power Finance, and is a board member of the Santa Clara Valley Water District. Since 1993, Kremen has been a private and angel investor in over 100 companies (individually or through venture capital funds), of which several have gone public or had liquidity events.
As the leader of Tri-Valley Orthopedic Specialists’ hand surgery team, Dr. Horner treats conditions affecting the bones, muscles, nerves and tendons of the hand, wrist and arm up to and including the shoulder. Heike Schmitz is an angel investor with a portfolio mostly in high tech, including healthcare, IT, clean-tech and even a restaurant. She is currently looking into entrepreneurial opportunities in the marine space. She is also involved in philanthropy supporting local and global environmental and community related organizations.
In the early years of her career, Heike worked as a management consultant, analyst, and programmer for several Swiss companies. After moving to the US and taking some family time off, she first gained experience in Silicon Valley as a quality assurance engineer with a small startup. Heike was subsequently hired into the Google engineering team, where she eventually developed and led their first testing services teams, an organization of then over 300 people. As senior engineering manager, she was later involved in the preparations for the IPO, including preparation for Sarbanes–Oxley compliance. Heike left Google in 2006.
Heike is a citizen of the United States and of Germany with a special place on her heart for Switzerland, the land she grew up in. Here she studied Computer Science at the Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. Additionally, in 2014, she graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz, with a degree in Marine Biology.

Ken was an early, pre-IPO employee of Cisco Systems and has spent the most of his career there, as a technology professional and manager. Ken's expertise is in Enterprise software and networking. He is interested learning about emerging technologies and participating in the local angel investing community, which he has been doing on his own for the last decade.
Kumar is the founder & CEO @ Dexati a Mobile Photography apps company which is fairly popular on Android with about 300 Million downloads (If Social networks like Instagram are excluded they are the largest Mobile Photography company on either platforms) and growing over 100 % year over year. He started this as a side project and grew into 30 people today while staying profitable every month since company formation. Before that he was Software Architect at Autodesk and Sunrun. He is also a spec member for multiple JSRs (Java Specification Requests).

Leung Kwok has been in financial services for 30 years most of it with General Electric Capital Corp. 25 of those years were in Asia covering Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan and about half the time in China. During this time, I deployed about $3bn and recovered about $5bn. The products were Private Equity, High Yield Lending, Project Finance and Distressed Debt. Over the years, I’ve examined thousands of companies and projects in need of capital and provided capital to a hundred or so. As a result, I’ve seen many successes and failures - attributable to a variety of operational, market and other reasons. While these were all growing or mature companies and not start-ups, I hope to leverage this experience in SHA.
Manjit started out his career with a Master of Technology, Computer Science, from the University of Hyderabad, India. He then served many years as a senior software product executive with expertise in cloud computing, mobile commerce, mobile gaming, messaging platforms and system management.
Manthi Nguyen has over twenty five years of diverse experience in all functions of managing and growing businesses with capital efficiency and operational effectiveness in a wide range of industries: real-time control systems, telecommunications and networking, Internet services, publishing, heath and fitness, and manufacturing. In the early part of her career, Manthi joined General Motors Advanced Manufacturing Research in developing technologies for office and factory automation. She participated in developing international standards for Open System Interconnect with National Institute of Standard and Technology (NIST). Manthi was involved in a series of early startup developing routing and networking technologies that were later acquired by NEC, Cabletron, Tut Systems, and Cisco. In the last 10 years, Manthi has brought her executive experience to focus on small businesses. Manthi Nguyen received her BSEE from University of Washington, and her MBA from University of Michigan.
I am an entrepreneur with a background as a computer scientist, software engineer, and business manager. After leaving the Stanford Ph.D. program, I founded, grew, and sold CodeSourcery, a software development tools business. CodeSourcery was acquired by Mentor Graphics, where I managed a business unit of approximately 150 people. I was responsible for product management, marketing, and engineering for open-source technologies. I championed the acquisition of the automotive software business unit from MontaVista software and was an active participant in strategic planning for the Embedded Software Division.

Ning Sung is the President of International Computer Technology. Being a technologist with a strong business emphasis, he has been involved with emerging technologies, consulting, and playing a pivotal role in the business establishments between the United States, Japan, and China. His company is a systems integrator partnering with major companies in Japan, Hitachi, NEC, Fujitsu, Softbank, and many others, to provide consulting for the clients on how hi-tech products are being used; as well as the strategic use of development tools from America. He constantly travels to Japan to meet with partners and end-users, as well as providing presentations on the research projects from major companies. He has also been constantly involved in the M&A of companies as well as investments activities in the three countries. Mr. Sung is fluent in Japanese, English, and Chinese. He has been an advisor to the Harvard School of Public Health as well as several legislators.
Srini Srinivasan has over 25 years of experience in developing and managing early stage technologies, startups, and advanced engineering projects in a wide variety of roles: customer development and support, product management, marketing, sales, engineering, finance and general management. His experience spans diverse domains of data analytics, advanced materials, Internet, devices, networks, control systems, consumer and financial markets. While incubating a business intelligence venture, he is consulting for the Advanced Technology Labs of Lockheed Martin in computational materials and serving as an advisor for various other bay area startups. Previously, he was the founder of EASI, which provided analytics products for wireless networks and embedded real-time systems. He was the founding CEO of TimeSys, a leader in the embedded Linux market with applications in industrial automation, telecommunications, networking, consumer devices, aerospace and defense. Earlier in his engineering career, for Westinghouse Electric, he co-led an engineering team that delivered an automated online tester for the world’s first digital safety system for a nuclear power plant. Steve Bennet is founder and managing director of Bodega Partners and is an active participant in the Silicon Valley entrepreneurial ecosystem as start-up CFO, Angel Investor, and Professor.
Steve's background is mostly in marketing and strategy for high tech companies. Part of his career was in strategy consulting (McKinsey and Accenture) for global high tech and communications clients. The other portion was as lead marketer for companies such as McCaw Cellular Communications and NextWave Broadband. He has worked in a range of industries including cellular telephones, broadband data, satellite data, cloud telephony, software as a service, and cloud services. For the past 12 years he has worked in startups in a range of roles - including entrepreneur, CEO, board member, advisor, and angel investor. Tao spent a decade at Facebook as an engineer and manager building out its mobile, search, and ads products.
Todd is an experienced cross-functional operator, active angel investor, and non-profit board member. He has been successful in product management across the full product life cycle, running multi-million dollar marketing budgets, and sales readiness preparation in both large company and start-up environments. In his current role as a Product Management leader at SoFi, he is responsible for driving disruptive, customer-centric innovation in the financial technology/ financial services space. Todd has a generalist investment thesis but has an affinity for FinTech, B2B SaaS, BioTech, the ownership economy, the distribution of cultural assets, and the facilitation of social interactions on and off line. He also spends a lot of his “free” time investing in the future through his volunteer work with Minds Matter SF where he helps high performing, under-represented high school students reach their full potential through education and exposure.
Vicken Ekmekjian is a senior portfolio and relationship manager with CIBC Private Wealth Management’s San Francisco office, with 19 years of industry experience.
In this role, he is responsible for providing wealth counseling services to a broad base of high net worth private clients, foundations and endowments through the implementation of tailored wealth management and investment solutions. He is also a member of CIBC Private Wealth Management’s Asset Allocation Committee, which sets the firm’s target asset allocation recommendations.
Victor is the global head of finance at Imaginable Futures. He oversees finance and accounting for the firm.
